Committed to Your Health & Safety
With the current conditions of the COVID-19 virus, Kwon Orthodontics remains committed to keep the safety of our patients and staff as our number one priority. Our office will remain open once a week at each of our two locations until further notice. We will open our Los Angeles location on Tuesday of each week and our La Canada location on Wednesday of each week until further notice. Those days are being made available for emergency and time sensitive cases only. For patients who currently have an appointment in the month of March or early April, our office will call you with rescheduling options.
We will be checking our emails continuously in order to address any concerns. We will work with current patients in order to make sure that their treatment is current and up to date. If you/your child have any symptoms of illness (low grade fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, etc.), please remain at home and reschedule your appointment with us once all symptoms are gone.
Additionally, we are making changes to our normal protocol to ensure social distancing. We encourage patients to keep a distance of 6ft or more if coming into the office waiting area. However, the best course of action is to remain in your car until your child is finished with his/her appointment. It has been recommended that groups do not exceed 10 or more when gathering. With that, we have also scheduled our staff to work in shifts to avoid having too many persons in the office at any given time.
Our offices are always cleaned and disinfected in the morning, evening and between every single patient. We follow strict OSHA guidelines in regards to dental infection control, including dry heat sterilization, autoclaving, personal protective equipment, and high level disinfectants on all surfaces. This has been implemented even before the COVID-19 situation.
We have removed the complimentary coffee, water, magazines and toys for the time being as a precaution.
We will be closing our toothbrushing station. Please brush before you come to the office. We will be asking all patients to wash their hands and rinse with mouthwash for 30 seconds before they are seen.
Current Patients in Treatment
Dr Kwon will remotely monitor progress for all Invisalign patients. We will have designated pick up times at each location for aligner pick up. If you are wearing rubber bands and are running low please call our office and we can have those ready for pick up, as well.
All emergency concerns should be emailed to [email protected]. These emails are sent directly to Dr. Kwon’s phone, and they will be addressed promptly.
For anyone who is looking for ways to help others during this difficult time, please consider supporting small businesses in your area. If the business is currently closed to the public, consider purchasing a gift card for future use. The best way to get through this time is to get through it together. Looking forward to seeing all of your smiles again when this is all over.
