At Kwon Orthodontics, we are committed to making your first visit as comfortable and informative as possible. Our complimentary consultation is a thorough, no-obligation assessment that helps us understand your orthodontic needs and create a customized treatment plan.
-
During your first visit, we begin with a detailed evaluation of your teeth, jaws, and overall oral health. This includes taking two essential x-rays:
Panoramic X-ray: Provides a full view of your teeth, jaws, and surrounding structures.
Cephalometric X-ray: Focuses on the alignment and growth patterns of your teeth and jaw.
We’ll also capture digital scans of your teeth and intraoral photos to give us a clear, precise image of your current dental condition.
-
Once we’ve gathered all the necessary information, our team will craft a customized treatment plan tailored to your needs. This plan outlines the best orthodontic treatment options, whether it’s braces, Invisalign, or other solutions. We’ll walk you through each step of the process, ensuring you understand the treatment and expected results.
-
After the evaluation, Dr. Kwon will sit down with you to discuss the treatment options in detail. We’ll explain how long the treatment is expected to take and the specific orthodontic methods we recommend for achieving the best results.
-
Understanding the financial aspect of orthodontic care is crucial. We’ll discuss the cost of treatment, your insurance coverage, and the variety of payment options available to fit your budget. Our office offers flexible payment plans and works with most insurance providers to ensure your treatment is affordable.
During your complimentary consultation, we will explain everything that you will need to know about your orthodontic treatment, so that you can choose what’s best for you – no strings attached. If you’d like to schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. Kwon, please call (818) 248-0124.
Scheduling Appointments
Visiting the orthodontist every 4-8 weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Regular checkups last between 20-40 minutes. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are scheduled around your busy schedule; so that you will spend less time in the dental chair, and more time enjoying the things you love to do.
We understand that “life happens,” so if you’re running late or need to reschedule, please let us know, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, call our practice at (213) 739-8678. We are looking forward to working with you!
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
What happens after the initial consultation?
If you do choose to receive orthodontic treatment, you will need to schedule your first appointment. During your first appointment, Dr. Kwon will place your new orthodontic appliance. Typically, this appointment is no longer than one hour, and then you’re on your way toward your new smile!
